Testi

The social network Friendster ends today errr… or maybe not. According to the press releases, Friendster will only be revamped. It will clear out all photos, blogs, comments and groups uploaded or created by its users. Ergo, it will wipe our memories out of space. But it will keep all our accounts, including user friends lists, games details and basic profile information. Ergo, names without faces. And for those who want to drown in nostalgia and keep mementos (like me), Friendster offered an exporter to help download or export stuff even before May 31.

I had mine exported already. I had the testimonials, messages, and other stuff in zipfile. My photos are already on Multiply. I exported my blog to WordPress, but I can’t seem to find the workaround on how to view that blog. It was nice looking back and let’s admit it, Friendster was awesome while it lasted and up until Facebook has become more awesome. I remember my highschool classmates were crazy about it and I know you, were too. Since it was launched in 2002, Friendster gained hundreds of thousands of users who annoyed their friends to exchange “testimonials.” And here are the funny and matino testis I had:

Avon Cristta Igloria.. ofcourse i remember you! =)So, you also saw me pala back in high school.. sa cathedral yun right? Akala ko nga hindi mo na ko natatandaan kaya hindi rin kita binati. hehe…Nakakatuwa naman, nasa third grade pa ata tayo nun first tayo nagka-compete. And yes, I know the drawing thing. Hehe.  I don’t know if the “new and improved” Friendster will topple the height and popularity of Facebook or any social network that will soon be created. But I know, for sure, that people will love going along with the fad until something new pops up. As they say, out with the old, in with the new! 🙂
